Our Story
The Stoughton Community Farmers Market, Inc. was formed in 2015 by a dedicated group of folks passionate about supporting local agriculture and our community.
The Market exists to bring locally produced food and other handmade products to the public by providing an outlet for produce, farm fresh meats, dairy products, baked goods and more via local residents who produce their products in the greater Stoughton Area.
The Market is intended to be a gathering place that benefits and enriches the community as well as downtown Stoughton.
Our goal is to increase knowledge and understanding of the benefits of buying fresh, local farm products as well as teach residents about sustainable, local agriculture, and increase access to nutritious food.
Farmers markets are vital for healthy communities and a sustainable, local food system. Supporting local agriculture reduces fossil fuels, positively impacts the local economy, provides access to the freshest and most nutritious food to seniors and the socioeconomically disadvantaged, as well as creating a community hub. They connect us to each other and our farmers, empowering us to make healthier; more thoughtful choices.

There are many ways volunteers can help the market grow and thrive. Take pictures and share them on social media, assist with newsletters, help set up and break down, grant writing and fundraising, create and staff an info booth are just a few ways to help!
